Implementação do planejamento estratégico [S&OP] no mercado de sementes de soja

The main objective of this study was to detail the implementation of the “Sales and Operations Planning” [S&OP] process in a multinational company in the soybean seed segment, where, in addition to facing the inherent unpredictability of agribusiness, it suffers from the reduced shelf-lifed of its products, since that if there is material left over from one harvest to another. To compare the production plan before and after the implementation of the S&OP process, the DFA indicator was used, being calculated in each of the scenarios and compared at the end of the work. An improvement of 51 percentage points was observed in the indicator, with an assertiveness result of 89% after the implementation of the process. Although satisfactory results were found throughout the study, comparing these results with the 94% practiced in the market, it was observed that the process still has room to evolve, as an alternative, statistical analyzes could be used.
